Matthew Orozco has been appointed by Great-West Retirement Services as a regional sales director for the Midwest, a spokesman confirmed. Orozco will be a part of the corporate 401(k) sales team and service western Wisconsin as well as cities in Illinois and upper Michigan. He will be based in the Madison, Wis. office and report to Scott Barnett, Midwest regional v.p.
Orozco, who previously worked as a regional v.p. for John Hancock for seven years, is replacing Todd Thompson. According to Thompson’s LinkedIn profile, he left the firm in February to become the director of business products for Sentry Insurance. Officials for John Hancock and Sentry did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
